Welcome to my website. Howard Haas is a one-man woodshop specializing in hardwood furniture and functional objects. Please give me a call for more information or to discuss a new work. A quick note about purchasing “Custom Furniture”…. Custom does not mean massively expensive and exotic. All it means is that you get to weigh in on the design, wood and anything else you feel like talking about. If you see something out there in the big world of furniture that you like, but would like it personalized, just pick up the phone and dial 262-443-9995 and let’s talk about it. I hope this gives you an idea of our capabilities and diversity in design.  My focus is directed at dynamic, figured wood grain.  The wood character is designed into each piece.  No two pieces of wood are the same, and the wood grain and color must compliment the object. One side of me wants the piece to feel as if it could hide in the forest. The functional side of me wants the piece to blend comfortably into the home.

All work is “One of a Kind”.  While I do have some inventory, most furniture is “designed to order”.  Wood is limitless so use your imagination. Please feel free to call at any time and discuss your needs.

I have always made things out of wood, but it never came to the forefront until I finished my professional distractions: College degrees in Metals and Ceramics; 15 years as a studio potter; banking and engineering sales careers; and most recently as a Sales and Project Manager for a prominent Historic Decorative Restoration company, have I had time to set up a full time workshop.
